Link365 was responsible for the mechanical and electrical installation for HG Construction’s first project for Legal and General Affordable Homes; ‘The Moorings, Brentford Lock’ – at Commerce Road, London.
The project required a full new build mechanical and electrical and public health services installation as well as our expertise in renewable energy solutions. Link365 designed and installed a highly efficient plant room and heat pump to service the 7-storey apartment block. The MVHR solution was integral in supporting the energy efficiency of the building. The development consisted of 38, one-bedroom, 26, two-bedroom and 12, three-bedroom apartments with associated ground floor parking, plus a commercial space at ground floor level. The project also involved the retention, restoration and alteration of the existing Art Deco façade.
As well as managing and coordinating the project’s mechanical, electrical, public health and renewable requirements, Link365 also supplied, installed, tested, and commissioned the mechanical services.
This project required the coordination and installation of innovative mechanical and electrical services. Delivering this project during a global pandemic, limited the availability of human resource, materials, and deliveries, creating extended lead times and delayed access to specialist suppliers required on site.
Link365’s previous knowledge and experience of coordinating and installing single or multiple units, enabled the simplification of the engineered elements to achieve the desired price and for the project to be delivered within a timely manner and within budget.
Working under COVID-19 restrictions required Link365’s intrinsic confidence and competence to tackle, resolve and overcome each new challenge. The project was led by a good management team, encouraging a productive approach from all sub-contractors.
