Link365 worked with United Living on the installation of the mechanical engineering and public health services for their Blackfriars project for Latimer Homes.
The mechanical services included a high-efficiency building plant room to service the 53 apartments and exposed ducting and ventilation in the communal areas. Underfloor heating was installed throughout the project.
Inside the apartments, Link365 installed Nuaire MVHR systems within apartment service cupboards for each dwelling. The team finished the project with apartment plumbing and sanitary-ware installation to a high specification. Inspired by Art Deco, this elegant Zone 1 development has been designed to reflect and enhance the unique character and iconic heritage of the Southwark area. In addition to the 53 apartments, the development also includes landscaped residents’ roof terraces and a concierge reception area.
Link365 worked on mechanical engineering services and overcame challenges with knowledge, skills, and competence. The project was successfully finished, testament to rigorous planning and teamwork from all involved stakeholders. Link365 was responsible for organising and coordinating the mechanical, electrical, public health and renewable energy services requirements of the project as well as installing, testing, and commissioning the mechanical services.
This project required the installation of innovative mechanical services. Delivering this project during a global pandemic, limited the availability of human resource, materials, and deliveries, creating extended lead times and delayed access to specialist suppliers required on site.
Link365’s previous knowledge and experience of coordinating and installing single or multiple units, enabled the simplification of the engineered elements, to achieve the desired price and for the project to be delivered within a timely manner and within budget.
