Supporting Young Women’s Football in Birmingham

Link365 is proud to be the sponsor for Sean McDermotts Gaa under-14s and under-16s girls teams. Hailing itself from Warwickshire, Link365 decided to sponsor the team in order to support communities that matter to its team and in the areas where we are supporting clients.

The teams were delighted to show off their brand new kit and reveal Link365 as their new season sponsor at the All-Britain Competition in London earlier this month. Both teams performed brilliantly, with the under-16s finishing as runners-up in the Shield and the under-14s finishing as semi-finalists in the Cup.

Congratulations to the girls. We hope our sponsorship provides you with a dash of luck to compliment the already strong teams that you are!

History of Sean McDermotts

Sean McDermotts Football Club rose from the ashes of the old Shamrocks Club which was based in the Small Heath area of Birmingham. In April 1957, the club was founded by the four original officers. Chairman Eddie Brady, Vice Chairman Hughie Reel, Treasurer Jimmy Smith and Mick Healy the first secretary. Little did they realise at the time, that they had laid the foundations for what was to become one of the most successful clubs in G.A.A circles.

The club went on to field a team in junior football and early success was soon to follow the first title, a junior football league, which was won in 1958.
